On top of that, the first photos of the live-action characters have been uploaded as well, giving us our first look at these iconic manga characters in real life! The photos showcase Shun Oguri (Crows Zero and Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa) as Lupin, Meisa Kuroki (Vexille, Space Battleship Yamato, and Crows Zero) as Fujiko, Tetsuji Tamayama as Jigen, Gou Ayano as Goemon, and Tadanobu Asano as Detective Zenigata, and show how closely the film crew has tried to emulate the style and characterization of the manga characters in reality. The movie, directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, will revolve around the crew of thieves before they became partners, and their escapades as they try to infiltrate a high-security fortress to steal the Crimson Heart of Cleopatra. Originally announced last November, the first details for the upcoming Lupin III live-action movie have finally been unveiled! A short plot synopsis has been uploaded to the movie’s official website, and claims that the plot will stay true to the manga’s roots, as well as introduce a new story into the Lupin universe.
